Overview
CamA is a local-first iPhone app. Version 1.0 does not require a CamA account and does not require a CamA backend for normal use. This policy explains how information is handled when you use CamA.
Information handled on your device
CamA may handle information you choose to create or enter, including timestamped media, patrol information, incident reports, timesheet records, companies, sites, shift patterns and related settings. This information is primarily stored locally on your device.
Device permissions
CamA requests only the permissions needed for the features you use:
- Camera to capture photos and video.
- Microphone for supported video or audio capture.
- Location to include GPS/location information in supported stamps or records.
- Photos to save media and import media for supported gallery-stamping workflows.
- Notifications for patrol and reminder functions.
You can review or change these permissions in iOS Settings at any time. A feature may not work fully if its required permission is turned off.
Optional iCloud Recovery
CamA may offer optional private iCloud Recovery for supported structured data. When enabled, supported recovery data is stored privately in your Apple iCloud account using CloudKit. CamA Recovery does not upload photos, videos or PDF files. Those items remain in Photos or on your device unless you choose to share or store them elsewhere yourself.
Advertising and purchases
Ads are off in CamA V1.0. This release does not require an active subscription. StoreKit infrastructure may exist in the app, but purchasing is inactive during Early Access.
Sharing
CamA does not sell personal data. This release does not include third-party advertising tracking. Information may leave your device only when you choose to use iOS sharing features, such as sending an exported report or media file to another person or service.
Data retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, or otherwise manage it through your device settings. If you use iCloud Recovery, recovery data is subject to your Apple iCloud account and storage settings. You are responsible for maintaining any copies you need.
Children
CamA is not directed at children. Do not use CamA to collect or share information about a child unless you have the authority and a lawful basis to do so.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as CamA changes. The effective date at the top will show when the policy was last updated.
